As you're in no rush, stick it up at top dollar!!

But id swap the wheels over, let them go to someone on here and make a few quid extra, that'll buy you some new stuff for your kitchen (thats where you'll be, Gareth knows where women belong ;))

You wont get any less because it hasnt got turinis but you'll make more selling them separately!

you speak good sense.. hopefully she'll listen to that advice ;)

anything spare after the sale of the car will be spent on my birthday present lol

She got me a great 30th birthday present at Brands last year. A Keeley calendar. :approve:

  V6 255 Acid Yellow
I had a LY 182, gorgeous paint, my fav paint job, period. that includes ferrari red and lambo green, even prefere it to my own acid yellow! I think if you hold out you may get £8.5k cause of the rareity. There are a few on the market at the mo though and a very low mileage one on PH sub £9k so to compete you may have to lower your price slightly. Good luck though!

People go on about the comparison with Trophy prices, but there are nearly 7 times as many Trophies as LY 182s... although it's just a paint not a special edition model, surely it means it should attract a premium price.

Decide what it's worth, list it for that, and tell the timewasters if they don't want to pay the asking price then fair enough, don't buy it - I think you can afford to take that attitude given what the car is, eventually a true enthusiast will buy it. Good luck with the sale!

Imagine a Trophy spec LY... now that'd be a nice car :)

I agree with your comments Chris! :)

LY Trophy, would be sweet!

I would pay a premium for a well looked after car than buy a cheap nasty neglected one!

very nice bubs, and good luck with the sale and pending house move. What do you think you'll get next?

Where did my post go?

f**king shocking. This isn't even a f**king for sale thread FFS.

She even posted about bumping the f**king thing on here so it's not like it's a big f**king secret.

Prime example of what's wrong with this forum. That lad who tried to keep the fact his car had been repired quiet got slated.

It's not what you know......

I'm confused (as I'm sure others are no doubt)... are you alleging you had a post in this thread deleted? Are you sure you didn't just accidentally prieview and not submit, or the page timed out due to a problem with the site/your ISP? The site seemed to go down for a minute or two about an hour ago...

Unless you're going to state what your "missing" post said, how can people comment....

Laingo definatly made a post referring to the fact the car had been involved in an accident of some kind.

Somebody else suggested that the stickers on the front bumper (can't remember what ones) were missing, apparently replacement bumpers don't include these, it was suggested they should be replaced.
Both these posts have now gone missing, I don't really care but I thought I would back Laingo up.

I dont know what was said in the deleted post, but i thought this site was good in the way people often rallyed round if someone was selling dodgy goods or misrepresenting, like that tracked Trophy etc. Be a shame if moderators or whoever else were going against this.

Was a front end bump with a tractor as I recall.

Roy Munsons post abut the black bumper inserts was also deleted.

Adtmits, yep.. it was mostly just graves and scuffs.. but i needed the bonnet bent back into shape, new bumper/grill and new headlight casing as the plastic clip/bolt broke. and then all had to be resprayed

Honesty is always the best policy on a forum like this as every single post you make can be found.
To be honest though if I was selling the car I wouldn't of mentioned it, its up to the buyer to inspect the car properly and if its all been done to a good standard then who cares, infact it probably got rid of a few stone chips!

To clarify I wasn't calling Laingo a lier or something... I was just making the point that a deleted post is by its very nature deleted, so it'd be useful to shed some light on what it said when making the post he made.

If mods are deleting posts then it is indeed a tad questionable! Not to mention the fact why would they think they could get away with it on a busy forum without some kind of backlash, surely people will have read the posts by the time they disappear!

At the end of the day though if it's only a bumper replacement and it was by a Renault-approved bodyshop, there should be no concern. Just means that one part of the car is even newer than the rest!

Be reminded this isn't a "For Sale" thread, so Bubbles isn't being "dishonest" if she doesn't mention her car had a bump, nor is she misrepresenting anything... this is just a discussion thread about how she's going to be selling the car. Although this does make it all the more silly if a mod has deleted posts...

Ref. the stone chips, exactly... as long as it was repaired to an "as new" standard.

Actually the stickers were missing. They must have been added recently if they are now there. I'm sure she'll come on and explain why.

It's nothing big, nothing to worry about and no reason to question the condition of the car.

LOL, after been in the club for 4 years and buying/selling many cars im very aware of the time wasters. but so far ive been quick lucky

I was refering to the people who pretend to be someone else and have a "friend" ;) ;) who is interested in your car, you catch my drift ? :)

Mine were missing when I bought my car from Renault, as it had some stone chips removed before I bought it... Its no big deal. Ive since replaced them, and Amie's car now has the stickers in place too.

everyone knows the cars straight too so its a bit of a non issue.

How does "everyone" know its straight?? "everyone" now knows its had a bump so how much of a bump would be my next question!!

It probably will sell but maybe not on here!

Has Bubbles denied it?

Is this a for sale thread?

No.

My point exactly.

I don't see why it wouldn't sell on here. I'd rather buy Bubbles' car knowing it's had a minor knock but knowing the exact nature of that knock due to the very fact she posted about it on here, than buy a car I didn't know any history of from somewhere else.

Aside from knowing this car's had a small knock we also know it's been loved and very well looked after and many people have seen it on the road and up close at meets, it's in very good condition.

If you were buying a car elsewhere it could have had multiple knocks you don't know about which have left damage to parts you can't really see, it could have been thoroughly mistreated in ways that aren't visible, etc. Obviously this is why you have to know your stuff when buying any car, but that doesn't stop you buying a straight-looking car and having something let go after 100 miles because it's been abused.

If I was still looking for a 182 myself I wouldn't hesitate to buy this car, it's a very fine example.

Right, I'll put an end to all this speculation about the bump. I didn't want to post this earlier as it's not my place, but Amie is okay with me to post it now.

Basically when the car was 3 months old it had a very minor frontal impact. It was at a very low speed into the back of a tractor on a country lane.

The damage was nothing more than a cracked bumper and some light scuff marks. I actually went round and t cut the marks off and the crack was barely visible, but with it being a brand new car and Amie wanting it to be perfect so she had a new bumper sprayed and fitted by a local professional bodyshop, who I also visited when the quote was done.

Believe me, it was the most minor of bumps ever. I did have pics of it somewhere but can't find them right now. When the car is up for sale Amie will be able to supply the pictures if you are interested.

Hopefully this will stop the speculation in here.

Its a lovely car .end of.The fact that lee backs this up,being a long standing cliosporter only makes it better.I'd rather buy this than going on the web and buying a mint car that has had 4 new panels and you dont know anything about it

I'm probably about 10 years behind the times, but when did you get rid of the carbon bonnet? It looks SOOOOO much better with the standard one - I've always liked it with the black wheels too.

Good luck if you sell it, lovely colour.

Amie, I wouldn't even bother advertising it on here... all that will happen is another thread like this, and loads of people devaluing your car. Stick to the likes of autotrader and pistonheads imo.
