Adding Bass without adding a sub...?

Ok so I have a decent HU and all four door speakers are upgrade to a decent level to get away from the shitty paper ones fitted as standard.
I can't afford to lose boot space but I crave bass! lol! How/where can I add bass staying away from my boot?

Hell yeah! some decent front components (circa £250) and a high end amp, (again, £250 ish) dynamat the inside of the doors and it will blow you away mate!

I had some focals in my laguna, powered by a PG amp and it used to adjust the rear view mirror it was so powerful!

Power cable can go through the bonnet release grommet. Search for both of those they've been covered a million times.

Here's an alternative for you - Butt-kickers. I dunno if you've heard of them at all? They're sonic transducers, so instead of sounding loud, you get the same "feel" of base, but without the actual deafening noise (that you tend to get inside cars).

you can 6x9s made specifically for more bass....just make sure you recover your parcel shelf!

A set of mid bass/woofers may do the trick, you can get them in handy 6.5" sizes which should work in the doors with a bit of 'engineering' but sound deadening is going to be a must imo.
you could also try 6x9s if you're willing as they aren't a bad SUBstitute (i thank you) but some decent comps up front will make a world of difference. Whatever you go for definately get it amped its well worth it!

That should be a reasonable set up imo, unless you have a fair bit of cash to spend

What i did is use dyna mat all round where possible and then have some inphase xt6c's,(now have vibe black hex's) i know the speakers are only 5.25 inch but i had the 6's an changed the door cards very slightly an easily. I do also have uprated tweeters but with all that i do have a small but powerful amp to help put that little extra power to them all.

If your after the bass that does kind of knock a gut gurdling boom through ya belly then yea youll need a sub/amp kit.

I think dynamat is a must before anything as I can hear the doors vibrate already!

Not into 6x9's at all, don't want anything to look non-OE. Car had 6x9's when I bought it and they were gash! :dead:

Good VFM and sound IMO. Keep amp wired into car, only removing/moving the box when required.

Get an amp capable of at least 160 watts RMS @ 4 ohms.
