cambelt on nonsports?

is it cheaper on non sports? i have a 51 plate dynamique + on 54.k and im going to get it done, just need a good price

i got the same kit. it was a genuine renault one with belt, tensioner and pulley bolt

got it fitted for 50 quid

Renault cam belts are good for 76000 or five years which ever comes first.

on the non sport petrol models, renault reccommend changing at 72k or 5 yrs whichever comes first

after that, particularly if doing a lot of town driving etc, the interval is recommended to be 36k

stand corrected it is 72k and on a sports it needs alternator belt every 36k

didnt say i was a specialist i work with one and when i double checked he said 72 and i admitted my fault

I don't think thats too bad really, especially for a renault garage. You can leave the water pump on the 1.6 though, the whole job is a bit of a pig to do tbh.

Cambelt and runners are replaced on the 72k service.

My local garage (where Renault get thier customers cars serviced, even though it's not a Renault dealer) charge £205.00 excluding VAT to get a cambelt change and service done.

can do the 1.2/1.4 8+16v's in just over an hour provided theres no probs with the crank pulley.. so you dont want to be paying too much for it.
