My new PH-RSi

Car  Evo 6, E92 320d
Iv'e had my 1.2 for almost a year now and wanted something a bit more pokey. I liked the shape of my ph1 and the 172 but couldn't get good insurance on that, so, a compromise. I found a nice 1.6 RSi that i couldn't resist:D

not had chance to clean it yet though.

Spend some effort on the Cosmetics and that is a VERY nice car, rare as fook in RSi form as well!

A small dent is to be removed, wheels refurbed and a going over with a pc and it will be like new.

Also the front bumper is going in for a respray as the previous attempt hasn't been great.

I assume the RSI didn't come with the ph1 172 bumper as standard? Looks good though, I'd repaint the rear powerdrums silver or black and colour code the side strips and job done

Nope they just look like a normal 1.2 Ph1 with horrible alloys as standard. That looks bloody good though tbh! I'd agree with the powerdrums and the bumpstrips, would be sorted after that.

Cheers guys, im going to hammerite the rear drums black when i get a day its not raining now lol.

No, previous owner bought it to make a profit as it was only running on 3 cylinders, and i don't think the guy before did it either.

Very nice car, got one and love it, i dont have them wheels or the 172 front end tho :(

edit: or the side skirts :/

When i looked into these a few years back i was told that you could spec the 172 on the rsi but it was a very rare option.

Really nice car, the colour looks great.
It looks like a very convincing 172 replica and it must be nice knowing it's costing you a lot less to insure than the real deal.

Just out of interest how did you get on explaining what it was like over a standard RSi on the phone to the insurers, did you just say it was a 172 replica?

Currently its not insured yet, next couple of weeks. Im probably going to declare the extra bits as optional extras and se how it goes.

That is a very Very Nice Rep, I'm loving Ph-1's more and more each day,

Andy
