  2004 1.2 Dynamique
Few PCs in one of my schools, when the user has been in outlook 2000 it wont shut down properley and just freezes on this...

The only way to then exit it is through task manager which is a pain for them. I've tried reinstalling office but it still does it, has anyone seen it before?

yes all the time, very common problem, never got to the bottom of it though as we switched everyone to XP & Office 2003 anyway.

Just been reading up on it

Apparently the cause is if the user opens the mailbox on 2003 this cause it to crash when exiting in 2000. This explains it as she has 2003 on her laptop and 2000 on her classroom computer

Tried updating with the latest office 2000 patches etc and still doing it

We've had this a few times too - on both Office XP and Office 2003. More often than not, there are several of the same OUTLOOK.EXE files running - simply because they were too bloody impatient and double-clicked like a mofo to get Outlook up. :(

Fecking users. ;)
