197 alarm...sorry cant find handbook

what does it mean when you unlock door and alarm beeps say half a dozen times, does that mean a pikey looked at my baby?

On the 172 it means the alarm has gone off i think.

Mine was doing this all day yesterday, opened the door and it was like a loud buzzing/quiet siren noise - I thought I had just opened the door too quickly or something...? Or maybe that the battery in the keycard is nearly dead? It's been OK today though.

normally means alarm has gone off - way to tell what has triggered is to count the led blink codes before u turn ignition off

its when you only push the button on the door handle once, and then when you come back to the car pull the handle quite quickly, always does it. try it. it wont do it if you push the button twice and deadlock it

I locked my 197 after work tonight and it beeped 3 times. Its never done that before and i've just plipped it out the bedroom windoe 3/4 times and its not done again. Any ideas on that??

The alarm system has received a signal from the vehicle ECU that the ignition is 'on' causing the alarm to beep. This signal is only received by the alarm for 3 to 4 seconds, after this time has elapsed the alarm stops beeping
