Off to halfords this aft to get some more SRP and wax. Can anyone recommend a wax from halfords please??

Not an off the shelf wax worth buying IMO. Get some EGP if you need something to use after SRP, or buy a decent carnuba online.

thing is I'm gonna wash, polish and wax it this afternoon. I've got some purple haze at home, but wanted to try a soft wax. Does EGP stand for extra gloss polish or something?

Watever really personally i would't use Either OR and i cant remember what they do and dont have soz..

EGP (a sealant, not a wax) after SRP as it's made specifically to work well with it.

Then a few coats of Collinite 476. You wont get that in Halfords though, only online.

Maybe for finish, but I've not found a better wax for durability.

That's why I only use it in Winter, I use Natty's Blue in spring/summer.

EGP - Extremely glossy pisch!!

Not even a fan of the Jeff's anymore!!

Gone back to using Jet seal and blitz as a spray top up.

Halfords is not worth the money imo.

The Megs Stage 3 Caranuba wax is ok if you are desperate, looks pretty good but lasts about a day...

What happened to Tez though, why is he banned!??

Also Ali where did you get the Jet Seal from as everywhere seems either sold out or doesn't stock it?

Body Blitz is my favourite sealant to use probably.

Is sealant pointless if you use carnuba? I've been using jeffs followed by carnuba.

If you can find time to do a sealant then a decent carnuba you have extra protection. My daily drive has a layer of each on it. Though next winter I will try it standalone with wax only.

I reckon with a decent hard wax you would be ok really, the wax seems to make more difference after washing in my opinion, sealants tend to look washed out unless they are topped with wax too.

Loads of time for sealant. Not enough to polish though. Hate polishing

Polishing by hand is a lot more pleasing - easier and better results.

By hand it is a chore I admit, especially on dogs.
