Cold Starts :-(

Last night i started my car, it hadnt been started for one day and it cut out on me twice and when it did start the car sounded like a scooby and the revs were WAY under 10 and the car felt like a diesel because of the way it was shaking.
Whats wrong? Coils? Anyone else had this problem with a 1.4 16v Dynamique or Any other car?
Whats wrong with the fucker..

happens to most clios im afraid, sometimes it stalls itself once started lol. happens to my friends 1.2 and my 172. just turn it on and leave it before you drive, or it will feel like its holding back and you cant get the revs past 2.5k .. i call this kangeroooing lol

forgot to mention how to get around it.

basicly when you turn it on and it idles crazy, i.e gear stick shacking and exhaust rattling and coughing etc. leave it UNTIL it self revs itself to about 1k - 1.5k ( I like to think of it like its telling me i am ready to go ) only takes 30 secs - 1 min

No, on a 1.4 it'll most likely be a coil down.

Start it up and unplug/replug them in sequence the one where it doesn't missfire any worse is the shagged one.

Dead common on the engines that use pencil coils.

What the hell? Thats crap quite frankly. Theres something wrong with both of them then. As none of my 3 have done this, infact none of them i've ever seen that are working correctly have done this.
Get in a drive away if you like, no need to leave it idling.

I hate cold starts too - do it enough and you can see the fuel needle drop

yea i have the same problem aswell. i got the same car as u. esp on cold days, the car doesnt even seem to start up with mine until i tap the accelerater a bit.
but ur right, it does sound like a scooby from time to time which mite be a good thing, scare ur neighbours a bit
i just had my ignition coil changed by AA. i think the start up has gotten a little bit better now...
maybe consider changing ur spark plugs/battery?

yep myn does it in the mornings too, never conked out tho
