i have around 350 songs purchased from itunes store on old pc, using a new laptop, anyway i can transfer the songs over to my new laptop?

Not as easy as that because i tunes only wants them to be on one pc that they were paid for.
Easiest way is to copy them all to your ipod and install itunes on your new laptop. Use some third party software such as copypod i think its called to rip them off your ipod and it takes the encryption off them.

it IS as simple as that cos i have just done this i transferd 60gig worth of files from a pc to mac...i burnt each album to disk(about 10 gig of the 60gig were tunes) .......simply select all songs in the album and press the burn icon......i tunes cannnot stop you from from ptting the songs onto cd.....you have paid for them, there yours to do what you want with them.
Move library, add all tracks to library, authorize library.
Done.
