Sunstrip?

Just wondering, would you fail an mot for having a sunstrip? Or can you get away with it if its below a certain size?

I am planning on putting on a small black sunstrip (no more than 10cm or so down), would that be ok? Also its just mot right? no problems with police of anything?

I think when Rollo sed that u'll fail in general meaning they look s**t anyway! lol...

But i personally think they look alright, bit old skool, but still on some cars it looks good. i.e Duttys one.

It will only fail MOT if its too large and restricts ur view.

Sort of true. They measure it by how far they are down the windscreen wipers, years ago people were fitting smaller wipers to get round it lol .

As said though, unless the car is dutty's leave it alone.

lol thanks for the opinions, kinda already made up my mind though.
I think a short one would look pretty good, so im gna give it ago, as long as it is fine for MOTs etc.
Im gna try 10cm black one and see how it looks

sunstrips look rank IMO and ruin a car. look WAY too chavvy! leave that to the corsa boys with peco back boxes :nono:

Aye true bout the sunstrip if the wipers touch it itll fail, mine did so i pulled it off at the test centre and they had to pass it. But they do look good and u can laugh wen all these lot r being blinded by the sunlight

^^ that looks good. Well ill see how it sounds and looks when its on, was only cheap and its only like a 3" oval exit so it aint massive. Think duttys would be alright cause its a single wiper conversion, not sure how they measure them cause that wiper is longer than standard is it not?
