Can you get HID kits for ph1 172's?

  S2000
9005, i had HID's on my ph 1 172.

Any particular make to go for? and place to get them from? how much did you pay?

I'm in the process of setting up a website for my new business at the moment selling HID kits. I'm going to try and arrange a group buy on here over the next few weeks if you are interested.

I'll be posting up more details in the next couple of days though, probably on sunday with detail of prices, numbers required etc etc.

Prices for 9005's in the group buy should be about £60 + £5 P+P though that it dependant on numbers as its a fair discount on what the normal selling price would be. All my kits also come with a 12 month warranty and are of a very good quality, not like a lot of the cheap s**t you get on ebay.

  In between cars....
Anybody ever put HID's in their fog lights?

I've seen it done before, personally I don't think its a good idea as I hate people driving about with foglights on - but it can be done fairly easily, no more difficult than for your headlamps.

I was only considering it if first of all it was cheap, second the rural roads i drive to get to the parents are usually empty and full of red deer, they tend to make an awful mess if your unlucky enough to nut one

(obviously id turn them off when passing oncoming traffic)

Aye thats fair enough then, its just those that leave them on all the time that piss me off, lol.

Essentially yes as all warranty issues would go through me, same as if you bought something from a shop you could take it back there with your warranty issues.

The kits theselves are legal, however strictly speaking you should have projector headlights and headlight washers and a couple of other things if you want them to be 100% legal, but in reality I haven't heard of anyone being even so much as warned about this by the police. In terms of MOT you will almost certainly pass with the fitted as long as your headlight alignment is correct, as would be the case with normal bulbs, I know of several Mk1 clios that have passed their MOTs with them fitted, a few of who were using my kits. I have had mine fitted to my Mk1 clio for several months now and have not had any problems with them in terms of the police or dazzling other road users etc etc.

Details of the group buy wil be up tomorrow at some point.
