What do you reckon the best option is?

Ok I can get a used 197 now or can wait a couple of months and save my pennies to get a brand spanking new one. I am an impatient type but would like to know what others think or would do.

Yeh, but you can beat new car showroom depreciation.

I would buy a 2nd hand one and some cash.

If you get one a year old, you still have 2 yrs warranty to sort any niggles out that arise.

Agreed - Just search for one with all the Options that you would have chosen if buying brand new

Buy a used one, save your pounds up for a few months and then spend that money making it even better

Well To add more to the Mix I am looking at a 57 plate GW 197 cup with AC and Speedlines at the weekend which is £11k and i have been to Renault they can get one the same only brand new for £13500 OTR.
It is a cup I will be going for more than the full blood i only do 4000 miles a year and dont need the few extras the full blood has.

Having said that, My dad bought his Brand new R26 from a renault agent in leeds for 16k and some 1 i met bought theirs for 14K, brand new from the same place, just think how cheap you could get a 197?

Usually I would say used, but in the current climate suggested new as dealers will be falling over themselves to shift stock and so if you drive a hard bargain you won't have to spend much more than you would for a second hand one.
