Fuel Filter?

Hi,

Can anyone explain to me where the fuel filter is on a PH2 172 please?

Done a service on it today & got everything done except that:dapprove:

i'm lead to belive its in the fuel tank mate same as a 182....

yep, only very early 172's have an external fuel filter by the tank, Renault told me mine didnt have one, then I looked.

iirc its built into the pump on the phase 2's and late phase 1's.

I wouldnt worry about it.

Its in the pump as said, supposed to be good for 150k so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Ahh ok will leave that bit out then.

Does anyone else have trouble finding good quality 5w40 oil? I had to go to Renault to get Elf oil in the end!! Halfords had their own brand of 5w40 but i was told not to use it lol!

Halfords own is made by comma and is fine to use a 172, plenty to choose from if you order from opie oils.

Ahh had never heard of that opie oils website, just found it & there is plenty, will use it for next time.

The fuel filter is scheduled to be changed at 144,000 miles on the Ph2 172's and the 182's .
