Kwik Fit/Zurich Insurance Question

  120d M-Sport
Hi there i have been with my current insurers since July 08 and paying £2500 on my megane 3rd party with £600 excess, i recently got a quote online with 0 NCB for my Ph1 172 on confused.com and Kwik Fit came cheapest in the list once again ay £4900, thing is i now want to change my policy over from the megane to the clio but what am i looking to be charged etc if they will even insure me, i have managed to get a quote online tho so dont see why not?

Can anyone advise me on what they will say? Cheers

Oh and the reason why the premium is so high is because im 19 living in a high risk area lol :)

Ring them up & ask them. I think paying those prices is utter madness, if you can afford it fair play, but i'd never pay that to insure those cars, a lambo yeah, but not renaults.

I think i work long and hard enough to treat myself i guess, not looking to do the 3rd party trick and use the extension because ill just get pulled all the time. So just gonna ring em then i guess, they'll prob try sting me but if they do ill just sod em off and think from then on lol

Jesus f**king christ! For that amount just get a limo to take you where you want to go.

Even in an M44 Salford postcode my insurance didn't rocket that much...and that's right in the ghetto lol. E banded, highest possible is F.

Hey Andy :)

Not tried them just yet as it would mean cancelling my current policy to switch over :(

Im band F so i guess i beat the ghetto :rasp: and i know its a fortune to pay to drive just a Clio, but its a RS and to have 1 at 19 is not common around here lol. Espically when its waitin for me to drive and its just sat there :(

Rent a flat in a better area ?

Insure the car at you new address.

Will be cheaper than 5K on insurance surely.
If you pay 5k to drive a clio .............. not worth it at all.

confused isnt really all that

have you tried bell, admiral etc?

i dont think its is really worth staying with quick fit if you can find it cheaper elsewhere, if they cant insure you on it and you cancel your policy for the megane you will no doubt get charged alot as your premium is so high

did you not get an insurance quote before you bought the 172?

Hi Bazzon, afraid in Manchester it would cost me too much to move out into a better area sadly. :(

Hi Bland, im still yet to give admiral and bell a try as im trying not to cancel my current insurance as it means starting over again to get my NCB with lowers premiums alot, might just have to wait until my renewal in June/July and see from there if the insurance is gonna be too high.

I was meant to of been buyin the clio in Feb/March but my mate wanted rid ASAP so i thought may aswel just get it now. Bit of a pain but im sure ill get something sorted :)
