Very slow laptop...

Within the past few days my laptop seems to have given up the ghost!

It sometimes runs fine, then at others it more or less freezes completely! Even if I shut down and restart it still runs slow for ages. I have done a complete virus check, used Superanti spyware and ad-aware. That is about the height of my computing knowledge lol

Any suggestions to speed the thing up again?

Well its just over a year old. I dont ever have any junk on it that I dont need. Regularly clean up etc.

TBH I think its a windows problem, I miss XP

do the disc cleanup aswell then do defrag.

Done a disk clean up and defrag earlier and so far it seems ok, fingers crossed

Dusting off the internals sped mine up. Might be more of a psychological thing,, but it seems to boot up quicker and load programs. Compress air canisters FTW!
