What the best oil to use in a 182?

As tittle says really, one more question. Is It bad to mix to diffrent oil types? Cheers James :star:

Where did you read that, its wrong.

You can mix them no problem obviously stick to the correct grade but if you have no choice its not a big problem.

castrol magnatec or mobil 1. castrol magnatec sticks to the camshafts and that when you turn your engine off, so that u dont get wear in the engine when you turn it on. whereas mobil 1 doesnt so you get more wear, however it is better performance wise....

We've used Silkolene from Opie in our endurance F4R's - when the engines come apart they are still clean, shiny and with a basic refresh ready to go again.

Iv always been told aslong as there is the correct level of oil it will be ok, obviously all the better with the proper viscosity

Ive read somewhere (sorry im not sure where and so cant quote) that when mixing brands they can react against each other due to their additives

i'm sure if u top up a litre of castrol in 4 litres of elf won't do any harm.. but shouldn't be done often
