Carbon Fibre Bonnet with a Colour Difference

  Clio MK3 Work in progress
Been looking to do something different with a Carbon Bonnet. I Like the carbon weave, but i think a black carbon bonnet looks weird on a silver car. Looked into a Texalium (silver carbon) Bonnet (like picture below), but i'm not paying £800 to have this custom made. So been talking to a body shop, who says he can Titanium Silver tint Laquer, and spray a carbon bonnet for me. so The carbon Bonnet looks silver with the weave still showing through. Total cost bonnet and spraying i can get for £210. (bonnet of mate)

What you guys reacon on this. Yay Or Nay?

I've heard that if you are skilled you can spray a light layer of paint (or tinted laquer as said) onto CF and you are still able to see the weave through. werent F40s done like this???

Texalium (silver carbon)

aka plain old fibreglass (aluminium coated) just in a pretty 2x2 twill weave, f**k all special about it, and there is no such thing as silver carbon, carbon is black the end!

kevlar (proper name aramid, kevlar is just a trademark) is yellow

carbon-kevlar = a mix of the 2, black and yellow weave
