Cleaning throttle body

I've got the sticky throttle on the ph1. I've replaced the throttle cable, so i'm going to remove the body tomorrow and give it a good clean. Whats the best thing to use, carb cleaner i'm guessing?

Petrol? White spirit, at a guess?

WD40..

Petrol/white spirit..

Give it a good spray and all the gunk should come off, it is only dirty oil

you also need to get a new gasket for the throttle body as they are paper ones and not the reusable ones as on the ph2 iirc

I used petrol to do mine and it came up a treat!!!

Brake Cleaner, Degreaser, Paper Towels, Anything really as said it is just light grime etc.

i used AG engine and machine cleaner yesterday as thats the best thing i had lying around and it came up well!

How bad is it sticking? If badly, you sure its not the common TB spring prob?

I used petrol to do mine and it came up a treat!!!

and if you use Shell V Power, you should gain a few bhp too.:clown:
