Painting Bullets (yes another thread!)

Stripped it back to standard with the thinners, cleaned it thoroughly and sanded it before primer.

Now the primer is drying out unevenly/rough at the edges :S

did you use plastic primer, as i 1st used normal primer and that was useless so bought some halfords plastic primer and it worked a treat.
this has been sanded back to bare plastic with 2 coats of plastic primer and 2 coats of normal primer on top, going to spray some colour on it today

I'd also like to know as it seems a good enough day as any to sort them out! Had a look briefly but I don't want to snap the clips so presume I have to take them off from inside the doorcard?

Ease them off with a flat screwdriver covered with a soft cloth so you don't scratch the paint
- can be stiff sometimes until you pop it out but they will come off without brute force

Oh I meant to say - don't go mad with the lacquer!
I got to that stage this morning and kind-of messed up 2 of my wheel diamonds :banghead: but hopefuly I'll be able to put them right when they're dry.

iirc if you want colour bullet with the standard lettering paint it and then just rub off the lettering straight after!

doesnt work as it always leaves a raised edge, which will eventually crack off.

best bet is to paint them with a small brush, or to mask them if youve got enough patience

if you still havnt had a go at doing your bullets mate i can do them at work for you for a small price! check my threads! done many bullets and badges for people!

Small brush it is - dam paint goes over the edge of the letters in some places though

What do you dip the paint brush in???
You can't dip it into a can of paint can you? flol.

Spray the paint into the lid of the can, so it accumulates in the bottom, then dip it on that

Not if it's done right & has a few coats of lacquer to protect it

You can't dip it into a can of paint can you? flol.

Touch up pen, just dip a fine paint brush in that.
