spraying rubber

if im painting rubber do i need to primer it?
was gonna clean, smooth, primer, base, clear.

just wondering if the primer is needed?

painting my splitter btw.

i like the laquered splitter look, black btw
its a low car but not low enough that it'll scrape..if im careful!

It's flexible it'll never work sorry. I work in a body shop.
Buy a solid splitter not a flexible one.
The cup splitters are solid or a leon cupra r splitter?

If it's a normal splitter off a clio it's bendy and will be a waste of time painting.

I would recommend working in a bodyshop but the money is never going to be great unless you get lucky like myself and become an assessor.

Electrician or plumber is the way forward mate.

anyone got pics and measurements of the cupra r splitter? oh and a part number? :)
I've done it that many times duck I don't have the energy.
Search button brings them up on a 172 and 182.

debating over uni or trying a trade. intrested in looking into body shop work.

I enjoyed working in the workshop and the banter, used to take real pride in my work and saved me a fortune throughout the years on various cars i've had.
Just plumbing, plastering, electrician rolls can get really well paid after apprenticeships.
