Anybody know of any immediate reasons why non of my internet applications are working?

I cant access youtube/app store/i-tunes...but can get on my Hotmail and facebook....but Safari is really slow.

Trawling through the user guides and Apple help but I am a complete n00b to this so please be sympathetic (ish)...

ok, my iphone is plugged inbto my laptop and itunes is running.

i have clicked manually manage music/videos.

i already have 10gb of music on it. i don't see how i manually manage the music? i want ot wipe all 10gb off it and manually put on what i want.

but i don't want to lose like my apps etc?

how do i do it?

when you open an internet based app, does it just immediatly close down to go back to the home page?

Just said the page failed to load. Tried resetting my settings but no joy. Even o2 iPhone help don't know....

Sorted. It was the wireless at work. Edge and 3G work fine, if a tiny bit slow.

(Youtube is stupid slow on 3G...thats app. why it is. Stupid me!)

3.0 has totally screwed up my Alpine car stereo integration with my iPhone 3G. Now can use either the full speed link or my bluetooth hands free kit...but not both at the same time. Also no one on the other end can hear me speak anymore. Now gives me a nice message on my iPhone when I pair it up saying the bluetooth kit is not supported. It is an Alpine KCE 400BT kit which is a Parrot bluetooth module for use with Alpine systems.

Think I need to revert back to 2.2.1 as gaining MMS while losing the ability to use my phone in my car is not a decent trade off in my opinion. Just going to go back to a jailbroken 2.2.1. Least it worked as it should do without any issues. Just bloody annoying unfortunately :( Hopefully Alpine / Parrot / Apple release a fix of some sort as I gave up trying to find a work around today after 45 minutes buggering about on the drive.

I'd be checking that ASAP as the bolt on doesnt exist..

Well in 12months I'll be getting the new iPhone, so I'm not too worried..

But otherwise, its £10 a month.

02........youve got me worried now. what the hell am i supposed to do if it isnt actually on there? i send WAY more than 500 tex's a month. and fk me if they think i am paying for them!

i signed a contract with it stated on the paperwork, if they say it doesnt exist, isnt it something they cant take off if i've signed the documentation?

If you have printed proof then you might be able to get them to let you keep it as a gesture of goodwill..

But, by rights, you shouldn't have got it..

What does the receipt say? You sure it says unlimited text and not unlimited web/data?

hmmmmmmm, now shall i wait and see what the first bill is, and if it is more than £42 fly off the handle, play dum and then say well its on my contract,
or shall i phone now and be honest?

Log on to your o2 account and see if the unlimited text bolt-on forms part of your tariff, it will be listed in My o2.

I'd call them now (tonight) and check. If they wont honour it then you're still within the 14 days to take it back.

If they refuse to honour it then take it back, buy a PAYG iPhone and choose a Simplicity tariff with unlimited texts and a unlimited internet bolt-on. A higher initial outlay but it all works out over time.

there isnt anyway of having an iphone 3GS on contract with more than 500 messages a month then. thats ridiculous
