from the very first till now wat do u think the fastest, real world, point to point clio is?

obliviously the ph2 v6 is most powerful but is it the quickest down a twisty, bumpy, even wet b road??

TBH it's mostly down to the driver, all the clio sport would be very evenly matched down a wet bumpy b-road.

On a B-road? I think I'd be able to keep up with any, in any. Might slightly more hard work in a Ph1 172 than a 200 but in the real world the performance difference isn't going to be huge between any of them.

very true,i had a blast witha 172 cup when i had my 197

i was quicker over the road but id put it down to me knowing the road rather than the car

i reckon the 200 or 197 is probably the easiest to drive quickly tho

Slightly off topic, but I was watching ChopShop on Discovery last night - the episode where they modified a FWD Golf to accomodate a Subaru 4WD engine/gearbox - anyone done a similar job on a Clio? I guess the Clio TT is the nearest?

Completely driver dependent. I would imagine someone able to get the very best of a ph2 V6 would be the quickest point to point. If we're talking ham fisted joe bloggs then anything except a 172 cup.

I would have to say a vee will be last down a wet bumpy twisty road unless the owner/driver didnt care what happened to the car because it will end up in a field. From what I have read on the net etc I dont see there being much difference between any 2.0 clio down said wet/bumpy/twisty road with the same driver.
