Are pressed plates legal?

I think pressed plates will look much better on my car tbh when finished, although still unsure, just want to find out if there legal, and if not, why?

oh right, i thought they were legal, do you know anywere online i can order plates that wont have a bad logo on it or anything that stands out on it, my plates have got the URL of the place they bought it from pasted along the bottom

I didn't realise they where illegal so i doubt i will be fitting them

Much prefer the french font ones to the British style ones

theres nothing special about pressed plates, as you see many people with "french" plates but with German text hmmmm makes sense! mine are ment to be french plates they look ok, its a similar font to the british one and i dont have any problems with the police (touch wood)

Tidy, Just fitted my CTR aerial this morning as that turned up 1st thing, looks cool, think im gonna stick to normal plain plates

Pressed PLAIN plates are legal from Dubmeister. The ones with the shabby French or German logos and fonts from ebay are illegal.

plain plates from halfords are £13.69 per plate. the logo on the bottom is a faint white reflective so you will hardly notice it if that helps

they dont come with any holes pre drilled so you can either drill them or uses adheisive pads

I have tin pressed plates on mine (with the French logo). Never had any bother from the Fuzz. A copper was round my Bro's the other day, he has them on his 172 also and the Copper says they are just passable due to font and refelctive.

Those ones are legal. Theres nothing illegal about pressed plates as long as they are done to the DVLA specs.

cba reading. But from dubmeister, legal pressed plates can be made. Documents must be sent off though, for legal reasons.

www.craigsplates.com does legal pressed plates, and you can get the EU logo on them which is legal as well.

I bought a set of surrounds from one their other sites - just got to get the plates and drill holes into the surrounds
