172 cup or not

im after a 172 ,but not a cup. iv seen a few cups with a/c, electric, and the other stuff. but how can i find out if it is one or not?

cups have speedline turinis and only come in mondial blue or silver

You will just know. Cups look 100% better than a ff 172. So if your looking at a bag of s**t that weighs as much as a baby elephant, its a ff 172

The cup has wider track, over the 172.

Get a 182 with cup packs.

The 172 interior is dire and no xenons.

Given my choice again I think I would get a 182 with Cup Packs.

It has wider wheels and different suspension. The actual track is the same. If you fitted the suspension and wheels there would be no difference. It's not like the Williams vs Valver where it is actually wider.

Not as 'keen', no way. My 182 with cup packs was flat as f**k compared to my old 172 Cup

I had a race with a 172 cup the other day and there was nothing in it. From 0 to a 100 I think I lost one car length. The cup also had less fuel and no spare.

Either, your Cup was like Chris(nnics) and very, very fast or in reality it is what I have found it to be, sod all difference between them all.

Undoubtedly though, they are quicker in the corners!!!

I've got the 182 half leather in mine cuz i agree the standard cup seats mite be light but they r ugly. As far as the brakes go, mine have never failed to stop me or locked up. You've just gota learn how to drive the car not let the car drive you.

Plans would be to fit some nicer seats though, other than that they look so much better than the FF 172's and sounds like they go so much better too

The standard cloth seats are comfy and fairly supportive but yeah they do look very basic and ugly. I was thinking about replacing them with half leather seats but I've decided I'll replace them with bucket seats if I do. As for the brakes, if they fail to stop you, you've always got the handbrake lol

I was thinking of buckets too but some 182 seats came up cheap so i thought i'd just put them in for now. the reason i got a cup was the colour, turini's and the fact it has less things to go wrong, aircon, cruise control etc.

Lol exactly the same logic as me then. I personally think that shade of blue is the best colour you can get in 1*2s.

Lol its not that i dont still love the cup to bits. The mk1 is getting done and theres no room for 2 hot hatches with a cage and buckets. If worst comes to worst. The wifes corsa sport is getting sold, i inherit a set of softstars and coilovers for the Nova and she gets the cup with standard interior etc. Only thing is i just cant bare the thought of undoing all my hard work by putting it back to standard Fantastic wee car as it is. I just need to finish my 5 year project

Lol I had mine up for sale for a while but couldn't bring myself to sell it in the end, although it's a pain in the arse at times with various things breaking and going wrong.

My view on Novas has dramatically changed just recently, I use to hate them with a passion but the more and more I see of these projects the more I'm adhering to them. My mates on the verge of getting one, completely standard looking, baring the coilovers and engine, it's a nice looking motor.
