My SD cage only has one diagonal bar in a very similar position and it cuts straight through my rear view.

ah ok...i thought you meant just forward facing..but if you want to get picky

i would say

forward facing - a miniscule amount is lost (the amount if you had your visor down
rear - its not that bad really i can see the cross but it doesn't obscure much at all, the fact i have no rear wiper and my rear screen is covered in water is more of a problem...
sideways - i noticed tonight that over my shoulder (blind spot check) is totally impared
