I think I know why most dislike the 200 front end...

The 197 looks SO SO dated compared to the 200. Everyone has a right to an opinion but, for me, the 200 is a lovely looking car. Not in green though.

If people started buying them in anything other than white with black speedlines i might like them more lol!
As an R27 owner i have driven a 200 now and i although the minor improvements were good, when i got back in mine i honestly didnt think they were that different. Little bit better poke low down but thats nothing a remap wont change on the 197. Not enough change for me, maybe the end of line 200 will be something special?

I'd go for black, because you can't see the face so much. Kinda like putting a bag over an ugly bird's face if she's got a nice body. Probably goes well too, but that face. There was a girl at my old work with that problem too. Fucked like a pornstar, sucked like a Henry, was a dancer so had a fantastic body but her face... It just looked like someone had beaten her to death as a child.

Excuse the s**t fairways decals on the bumper, only got them the mrning before the round and they balls them up and used a white background instead of individual lettering.

From my point of view, it's just too busy with all the lines. You've got the lines down the headlamps and bumper, but then under that you've got a curved line. If that was just a straight bit, that'd probably look the s**t, but they've just tried to design the front that little bit too much and crowded it.

Cant really find any more frontal shots without routing through hundreds of images but when the 2 are side by side, the 197 looks rediculously dated.
still amazes me how many vocal 200 haters there are on here

Honestly, in the flesh, its so so so much nicer. The 197 is a good looking car no doubt but it's aged a LOT since the 200 was released.

I'll have a hard job finding people to like everything I opted for on here, but then I didn't buy it for the members.. LOL
Standard wheels for now, it will definately have speedlines in anthracite eventually. I loved them on the 172, got to have them on the 200 tbh :approve:
any idea how much speedlines would cost? are they only available from ruk?

Not sure, I'd have thought they'll be cheaper from speedline but I won't be able to have the renault centre cap OR pay more for proper renault ones.
I'd have got speedlines from day 1 if they did them in anthracite, I weren't too keen on getting brand new wheels in white or black and getting them sprayed.
