Anyone using any of that D-line trunking, or any other half decent looking stuff?

I wanna wall mount my new TV, but it's a solid brick wall where it's going to live and I can't be arsed with channelling or building a floating wall, so I'm thinking I'll just go with the drop down route. What I don't want to end up with is wires everywhere or that f**king w**k looking trunking that you see in 1960s offices, so needing something decent that's easy to put up/remove...but that can take paint.

finally upgraded my tv today, bought myself a Sony 40Z5800, supposed to be very good, was looking at the samsung LED's but seems to be a lot of quality issues with them.

it's to go with my 360 super elite, ps3, sky hd and sony 1100 5.1 surround system.

LMAO, i'm going from a 32 to a 40, think thats a big enough jump, i only sit 1.5-2m form the tv, anything bigger and it will degrade the quality of the image for the distance i am to it.

Plus, the 40" was £900 cheaper than a 46..........

TBH I have never bought into that ethos. HD content will look amazing regardless. You should have gone straight to 50". You'll be gutted with the size within a month. If you'e not, you're gay.

i've bought it as a stop gap to oled really, a 4 yr old 32" 720p wasn't cutting it for a techy g33k like me but i don't want to go all out as i know i will want oled in 18 months so this will tide me over with a bigger screen and some 1080p action, was pretty cheap too, which is why i got it, down from £1700 to £1200 and i got them to knock another £100 and 5 yr guarantee from the sony store, so bit of a bargain really at £1100 for the spec.

The 46" was £2k, i'm not paying 2k for a tv i'll want to replace in 18 months when i can get one for half the price with 6" less screen.....

no brainer imo.

Kind of the same here when we got our telly but as it was going in a corner we were limited size wise else it'd have been too far out

Finished hooking up one of those onkyo 2.1 little systems to it all today, so far so good. Need to spend some time tomorrow setting it up properly.

should be stunning, i love my rx-v1800 although when watching action packed blurays it has me reaching out for the control to keep the neighbours happy nature of the beast tho

may i suggest that when it arrives u hook it up tell the neighbours to f**k off for the night and play transformers revenge of the fallen (bluray) in dts-hdma, turn up and enjoy. it has one of the best hd soundtracks ive heard so far:evil:
