Literally.. 190 C for 8 and half minutes in the oven! It works now!!!! :)

It was buggered and works a treat now! I have my laptop back YEY!

wtf 190 degrees?! cards will usuall turn themselves off or start artifacting at around 100 depends on the model of GPU. Was this on the grill setting?

He is the total opposite of what I'd imagine a computer geek to be.

I had that same case he has

Absolute b*****d to keep clean!

Think it's still in bits in my parents loft

Yea watched his vid before i did it and thought the same thing HUGE!! my mate thought i was watching a video about using pro-gain or watever!

If anyones interested the physics behind it is that it remelts all the solder and so that any micro fractures etc that are causeing bad connections sort themselves out. Its not in so long that the board and chip fry themselves. Worked for me :)

I heard it originated from xbox.. It can fix a lot of stuff i saw one guy fix a motherboard with it.

Same as the Xbox fix where you suffocate it with a pillow so the solder melts.
