This is the set-up I think I'll be going for in a month or two after my belts service. Not chasing gains or figures just the least restrictive set-up. Chasing gains on these n/a engines is a waste of money IMO..
Yup, we have 2 or 3 cars with results on both SRR & TOTD that are very similar in output to the our 182. I NEED to get the graphs sorted out at some point
We don't have live mapping capabilities at the moment, we use Henk @ Fastchip to develop our calibrations around the work we carry out - so all the 182's we work on receive the same optimised map for the kinds of parts fitted in the RS works package. You could probably eek out a couple more bhp with a custom (especially in the low range), but its more economical with a package of this nature to do it the way we do
All the 182 results around (ironically enough) the 182 figure we achieve have the same parts that form the RS works. (Induction setup, map, matched inlets & a decat).
No worries, I'll get the graphs up so people can have a look/make comparisons, could possibly even do a results thread in our traders section of all the cars we work on (if people could provide us with permission)? Ideas ideas...
Btw its important to note that non of our graphs are obtained in house, they come from two seperate setups near by - surrey rolling road & TOTD neither of which have a commercial interest in our work. I have very dim views on some aspects of in-house RRoads and they results the provide, Chris at TOTD has shown me how absurdly easy it is to trick a RR....
Reading how good this setup is just make me want mine more and more!!!! Tom, you know how hard it's been to me to make me of one!!! Damn paypal e-checks!!!! Hopefully I will have mine sometime next week
