Go back further.....the early 1990's were simply brilliant. I used to go to Brands loads during the Cleland, Winklehock, Hoy days.
Its pony nowdays.

If it wasn't for that era of BTCC then I doubt I'd love cars and motorsport as much as I do today.

There was one of those Lagunas and an extra shell up for sale not long ago. Looked weapon in green without all the sponsor stickers.

the super touring days were mental, IIRC the mondeo was the most expensive touring car on the grid! £500K or something barmy like that!

£25K a bumper, £100K+ per engine, £80K for a gearbox etc etc

mega money when than manufactures were REALLY on board, F1 in tintops basically

epic days, although the last season of touring cars was well up to standard.

Thommo's move on Plato in that Oulton clip is shocking, but i think both Plato and Thommo have grown up a lot since then, both class drivers. Particually Thommo.
