does the sump plug washer need changing?

Been to get all the materials today for my service and no shops had a sump plug washer in, does it need changing everytime or should i just do it and nip it up very tight?

Good idea to change it really. Can't you get to Renault? They're only about 20-30p from memory.

my local renault has gone, got 1 on order from gsf so shud be here tomorow so ill have to do it all on thursday as im working all day tomoz.

New plugs shud be here by then aswel so might aswel do it all at same time, i think its still on original plugs at 68k.

I've always just been given one when I got the oil filter from Renault. Free sump washers FTW...

it's good practice to change it, but i've not known a problem from re-using occasionally. I wouldn't panic if you can't get one and need to get it done.
