Whats this rotary like?

It's dangerous in the wrong hands.

Get a DA polisher if you've never used one.

Yeah it's okay saying practice on some old panels but I still say it's best getting pointers from the right person.

A rotary is a respray waiting to happen.

Fair enough, thanks guys!
Well i have someone coming this saturday, so hopefully ill learn off him then take the plunge.

He has given me a few waxes i can choose from...if i put them up would you be able to advise me on which will best suit racing blue?

TBH, I had my first crack at polishing with a rotary, and compounding pad. Then, working up to a polishing one. It was on a shitty old Xantia, though.. Came up like a mirror!

Wasn't rocket science, but then again, seeing this lad's thread, you might as well price him up a respray now, Gally. ( ;

Might have come up well but you might have took a lot of lacquer off, more than was necessary.

Its the reason I am so hesitant to use a rotary I have been offered, but then I dont have a DA either. Need to go on a little course but dont know if anywhere does them?

Thinking of getting a dual action I think, as never used one just looking for a better finish. This is the one for noobs then?? Not wanting to win awards, as said just looking for a lot better finish..

Is it right that it's just about impossible to go wrong with DA?

i just bought a silverstorm its cheaper from amazon by the way £30 inc delivery

never used a rotary or da before so we shall see how it goes using P1 polish apparently it will take 30 seconds to go through a corner using a wool pad ! so tbh i wont be holding it still for anywhere near that length of time !

Glasur lasts longer than BOS i would probably choose that, i doubt ill be using BOS on my own car this summer even, ill let you have a crack with the rotary if you want, they are dangerous, but they are easy to handle with a polishing pad and polish, its compunding that makes it all dangerous. Its plastic pannels you want to watch out for.

ABOO, if you can do damage with a DA ill be amazed. Ive ragged the s**t out of cars using the DA and it just doesnt do any damage. Rotary however takes all of 3 seconds lol.

Oh, i have the S1m 180, similar machine.
