Best place for 195/50/16's, PS2's or ContiSport's

Hi, as title, wheres the best place to buy these, id like PS2's if they are available with the best possible tyre wall rating although i will settle for contisports. Not sure where to start, although i have looked through google, CS knows all though.

My pilot primacy tyres are just pants!

The Conti's are meant to be s**t mate, but...Kwik fit are doing 25% off when you buy 4. You can't get Pilot Sport/Exaltos

205/45/16 are very similar rolling radius - much better tyres available in that size.

Alternatively, the Dunlop Sport 01's look fairly decent and are priced well.

The Eagle F1's would be my choice for grip or Dunlop's for wear/grip.

So how do tyres work then, surely My Standard GT rims wont take more than the tyre thats currently on there.... or am i wrong?

The tyres i have on at the moment are 16" 195/50's. I hate Dunlop Sports, mum has them on her car and they are w**k. I thought they would be replaced like for like...

I'm sure you can fit 205/45's on the rim. Just means the tyre will be 10mm wider and you'll have to replace all 4 at once.

What are PS2's? Or are you talking about PE2's? Do they do PE2's in that size!?! :s

Wont that create a lot of tyre sway :S Its not like my Tyres are stretched, i doubt theres even much room left. Im tempted by those F1's now they are ment to be good.


Also, there any risk of using 45's over 50's, as regards to the speedometer n s**t.

As said, Kwikfit are best place to go for CSC2's. 25% off for 4.

Toby - google tyre calculator and you can find out the differences. 195/50/16 to 205/45/16 means the speedo will under read by 1.6%.

Yer Pilot Sport Primacy..either way they are hard as nails and have no grip what so ever.

Nope. Plenty of tread left the cars done 8500 miles, i was looking at how much a set would cost, but i might have to wait until september (uni grants ftw). I want a set of 4, but i also want ones the same size and width so nothing is changed. The tyre wall rating on those contis are only 85 or something, will that be okay, i was hoping for more like 90-100.

r888s or a048s if you want soft grippy rubber then swap back the the ps2s for winter.....
