Knocked Alloy Wheel - Now Steering Not Centred

Hi,

Skidded into a curb earlier today and knocked the front alloy wheel. It didn't look that bad, only a slight scuff on the alloy and abit of curbing so I thought I could just buy a new wheel and have done.
But when I went to set of, when going in a straight line, the steering wheel is now at a 25 - 30 degree angle to the left.

Pretty pissed off reallu.

Anybody know what could of happened? Just want a rough idea if anybody can help.
Thanks

Youve probably done the same as me.

A part of the chassis underneath is aluminium.

you need it up on a ramp and compare both sides. mine is clearly now bent. New part from Renault is £350, so id have a look down the breakers.

But take it to a garage to confirm :D

Cheers for the replies lads.

TickledOrange - Do you know what that bit of the chassis called?

Really hope its just the tracking and not the chassis but I'll try get it to a garage asap.

Any more suggestions welcome :)

Erm no I dont unfortunately.

Im currently looking at replacing it with the same part off the 1.5dci but I dont know if it will fit.

If you can find a picture of the underside of a clio I can explain which bit...

Its like a subframe that connects the wheel to the arms :D

mines always been of centre.. but the first time ever the other day i actually felt the car pull to one side while i was going in a straight line.. so i just think mine needs re-tracking. its been lowered and de-lowered since mine was checked last

Ok, I'll get it on the ramps and have a look tomorrow :).

Forgot to mention, before the knock the steering was pulling slightly to the left. Now after, as stated, the steering wheel is slightly to the left. Does it sound more like tracking now?

TBH, when driving it it feels and turns corners fine, but I'll defo get tracking done.
