Rear Calipers on 1*2's. Are the the same on any other french cars ?

Does anyone know if the rear brake calipers on the 1*2's are the same as those fitted to many other french hatches such as the 106 Gti, Saxo Vtr/Vts, 206 Gti's etc etc ?

Reason i ask is my nearside caliper is sticking and i have freed it off three times in the last six with copper slip, cleaning up the sliders etc etc.

So i think it may be new caliper time :-(

Had a new one placed on mine not so long ago, has some VERY weird bolts on the brake pad carrier, no idea what they are, I had nothing that would fit them, had to take the entire caliper off to reaplace my disks today.

Where did we get the caliper from ?

Birchdown got it/fitted it.

Could get a spanner on the bolts, wasn't the normal 17mm or 3/8 thingys, and couldn't get a adjustable on it, as it didn't have 2 opposite flat sides.

Ah right.

The joys of living down in England.

Living in Aberdeen is sh*t, as theres not really any decent garages you can trust to do things properly without ripping you off.
A lot of garages up here don't even know you need special tools for timing belts etc etc on the RS Clios so needless to say your best to stay away from them.

Anyone any ideas if Pug 306's have the same rear calipers ?

And anyone any ideas what grease to use on the sliders if copper grease is a no no ?

I'm guessing i can use Copper Grease on the rear of the pads and on the stub axle that the rear disc and bearing slides onto ?

Why do you need grease on the pads and sliders? Mne never had. And the stub axels for the rear discs didn't either.
