Polished Bliss - now with free shipping on all orders

Hi guys,

Just a quick one for all those detailing nuts out there.

John @ PB came onto a few forums last night and mentioned the following;

"What you want is very important to us, but late last year we realised that we had started to neglect this. Our own desire to grow and shape our business into what we thought you wanted resulted in us taking our eye off the ball. This year, we're aiming to do much better, by listening a lot more and doing what we can to meet your needs and make doing business with us a more beneficial experience.

For some time now, you have pointed out that a 5% discount on £100+ orders is not beneficial if you place regular smaller orders. You have also commented that our shipping charges haven't always been competitive. Therefore, from today we will no longer be offering discounts of any kind. Instead, we will be offering free delivery on all orders (no minimum spend) destined for mainland UK addresses. In addition, we will also be offering significantly reduced shipping charges on all other orders going to non-mainland UK addresses. In a nutshell, you will now be paying less every single time you order from us, whether you spend £5 or £500.

To make this possible, the free delivery option will use an economy service that will take 3-5 days. We hope that this will suit in most cases, but if ever you need your order quickly then a competitively priced 1-2 day express service will also be available. And what if you do not live at a mainland UK address? Well, clearly we cannot offer free shipping to destinations where the costs would make sales unprofitable, but we do hope that our new shipping rates are appealing: they're certainly cheaper than ever before, in many cases by a huge margin. The savings on offer will add up to a good deal, particularly if you order from us on a regular basis throughout the year.

Finally, if you live in Canada or the USA we are very sorry, but we will no longer ship orders to you. Difficulties with customs have increased recently, making the shipping process more time consuming. All things considered, shipping to North America has actually become a cost to us when our time is factored in. Thank you very much for your past custom; we've greatly appreciated it. Finally, to reassure you, we will continue to provide advice and support in relation to past orders in the future; please contact us in the usual way if ever you need assistance."

I said I would spread the word for him on here as well, as I know there are a few PB lovers around

I agree. And to show that I agree I've just ordered the Werkstat Carnauba kit, but in separate bits as it comes to £47 without the towels in the pack.

It's actually made my year.

The missus was erm not happy about the announcement...

I'm not really sure why I'm complaining, as they are only a 20 minute drive from me.. They seem to sell a very unique range of products aswell.. I wish one place just sold everything, would make it so much easier!

Bingo, I have actually told them this, I placed an order for stuff from Elite car care because PB only had Prime strong that I needed oh well!

I just went onto PB and my basket is at £150 already. None of which I actually need!
Don't mate, my paypal has been building and if I don't transfer it I will spend it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want new stuff nooooooow! FML! I really will be sleeping in the car the next time a box arrives for me.

Tell me about it, just spent 47 quid on stuff I won't use for another few months.

And I also mentioned how I shop in too many places as the "What can we do for you" answer...

It does add up and postage costs being reduced will help massively. At the moment, Elite, CYC, I4D, Monza and PB... Five lots of companies, five lots of postage...

Not at PB.. ;)

I do agree though it's quite hard sometimes, I love CYC I think they do a great range of products and the website is much nicer and fresher than ECC but they don't really stock what I use.

Autobrite.com/Gteq vat evasion...

Bought over £75 worth of stuff over the past month and not used one bit yet

With regards to postage, free delivery is good but you have to wait 3 - 5 days which is a bit rubbish but I suppose not so much different from other similar companies.

Glad I ordered my stuff last month when the postage was free for next day delivery!

christ, this must be a first. The only detailing supplier I've never seen advertise free delivery. Must be struggling a little with the extra competition. It's annoying as they supply things others don't. About time imo.

Decent. Could do with some new stuff but can't justify the spend right now, bad times!

There's an AutoSmart depot thingy not long opened across the road from my work. Wonder if I can blag anything for free from there...

That Waxamomo place I always bang on about is good for delivery, Generally it was £5.95 for next day UPS for big things like APC etc...but only £1.95 for royal Mail.

I just got this lot from PB

I very much doubt that my friend.

Richy you finally took the plunge and went 3M! Good taste my friend! I'm in 2 minds whether to buy a black glazing pad or just get another 3m Blue and glaze with that... Decisions!

I4D and CYC don't offer free shipping? Nor do Monza or Elite Car Care...?

I tell you what the 3m pads feel lush compared to the MENZ ones...They felt rock hard, these feel relatively soft.

Yeah decided to use the 3M stuff..especially the glass cleaner. Im sorry but Chemical Guys "Streak Free Window Cleaner" is f**king s**t!

3M pwns all on the pads IMO. Althought I want to try the HydraTec ones badly.

I've just ordered the glass pads, Richy, and you have no idea how close I was to getting a s**t load more. Must save for... other s**t!!!

It's the construction of the 3m pads that I love. They are super lush and soft yet don't fall apart and offer better performance than the competitor with more ridgid pads.

As I understand it Polished Bliss no longer offer discounts and have offered free delivery as an alternative but as other have said its a 3-5 day service. If you need it urgently you can still pay for next day - but no option for a discount.

If your spend is more than approx £50 then may be better off paying extra for delivery and taking the discount instead.

Which is why I still spend with you ;)
