A nice drive out and a few pics from Snake Pass

Me and the other half went to Alton Towers on Friday, so figured it'd be rude not to go for a drive about today in and around the Buxton area (I'm from farm country, Norfolk :rasp

So headed for the Cat and Fiddle first as I've never been along it......it was spoilt by a) A poxy caravan and b) absolutely BUCKETING down with rain going towards Macclesfield, but the run back the other way was a bit better, still wet but not raining so much :approve:

Then along the A5004 from Buxton to Whaley Bridge, nice bit of road also then up to Glossop and along the A57, Snake Pass for the first time also. What a great stretch of road, and mostly dry too .....so convinced the misses we'd go back the other way too!! Took a couple of pics on Snake Pass but thats it due to the weather!

You say that Dave, but I'm not convinced. Pass and fiddle aside. Go down cambs, Bedford, oxfordshire and they are very spoilt

You certainly do, Norfolk roads are rubbish and there's just no hills!! Let alone decent surfaces on alot of them lol.....

Dave, you car wasn't at a house in Chesterfield today was it, as an Inferno was parked on a driveway as I went past. No idea what road or anything though, not my neck of the woods lol

My car's been sat on my drive for the last fortnight, since the gearbox is f*cked. So nope!

nice road the snake pass when its quiet, i got my R26 from sheffield and came back over snakes pass, that was a gooood day
