DTM @ Brands Hatch swimming centre for the photographically insane.

I will keep it short, it was wet. I nearly drowned several times. I should of left the camera and taken the snorkel. I still loved it though!

Anyway, nothing too original over the weekend, bit of a struggle really. But here are a few i would appreciate your thoughts and C+C on.

1. Not original, but still quite like it.

2. A replica of my favourite shot from last year. Less of a crowd though.

3. Bit of a wide pan - spent far too long shooting these shots! really not sure they work.

4. Probably my fav from the weekend.

5. Coulthard being Coulthard

6. Marmite

7. More Marmite

8. Paffett creaping up on...well nobody really.

9. End of the race, was hoping this shot would look cooler than it does.

10. One from Sat - incase you cant tell.

11. I felt the portrait crop really added something to this shot...

That is all. Thanks for looking in!

I like the last 3, tbh I am not a fan of motorsport photography period so my opinion is invalid!!!

Just found this thread. Top notch work, you're Marmite shots are the best imho, really tricky ones to do, getting the car sharp that is!

I can't stand photographing motorsport in the wet, nothing more depressing. But you can get some really interesting photos from the weather.

Awesome shots mate!

Love the one of the Merc loosing a sideskirt!

Thanks, Coulthard has always crashed into someone in every race i've ever seen him in, true to form he did again!

AMAZING shots there man!
I loved them all, marmite included

Thanks! :)

Very good pictures as usual. I need to go to this one year!

Do, its spectacular, although the racing is often dire. The rain this year really mixed things up, but it still wasn't anywhere near as entertaining as the eurocar series or something similar - basically Frenchmen driving Nascars into each other.

those cars look literally glued on the track, its wow

They are stupidly fast. I think they do a 41 second lap of Brands, they are also so so loud especially in the pitlane with the side exit exhaust.

Awesome as always mate!

Thanks mate!

Amazing shots as usual. Really like the marmite shots. Especially number 6

Cheers, Not to everyones taste, but i like them!

Everyones opinion is valid, i want to make everyone like them, so its always good to hear the opinon of an 'outsider'

Great set as usual Nick. Looks like pretty changeable conditions.

Thanks Paul, yes very odd weekend weather wise. Saturday was stunning and sunny, Sunday was overcast but fine except for the DTM race, where it basically chucked it down the entire race.

Thanks mate, I've got lucky this year - only 2 previous wet rounds that i can think of. The main mistake was not taking a rain coat out, i am deffinatly adding one of those plastic fold up coats to my kit!

I dont think anyone has noticed the hidden message in image 11....

Love your photos but as normal spoilt by the comedy watermark :( I know your reasons behind it, this is a rhetorical comment... still.... :dapprove:

Cracking set. You can see the affect the weather had on the colours and contrast. They are different to your usual ones.

I was there on the Saturday, took about 1400 shots, was a good day, very sunny.

Did have alittle chuckle to myself watching it on tv on the Sunday pissing down with rain ;)

Love the portrait Coulthard one :)

The rest are all of the usual high quality too :)

Thanks :)

Cheers Andy, The weather certainly makes a difference. I find the cameras love the contrast and i find slow pans easier for some reason (besides that i can get the SS lower)?

Brilliant shots mate. Number 6 is very nice. :approve:

Thanks!

Excellent shots there.
