Help needed, running problems, after changing from 40mm trumpets to 90mm...

  Trafic 140dci
Fitted my christmas present today from the girlfriend which was some 90mm trumpets, reverie carbon back plate and pipercross airfilter.

Doing this involved taking the whole ITB setup off to scribe the airbox, so could be anything causing the problem. Personally i think the car needs a remap, as since the last map i'd already fitted a decat, 182 manifold, and different exhaust. But i'd of thought the car would run better than this, it's spluttering terribly.

Before i fitted my trumpet's i gave the car a quick start up without any to make sure it was running ok, as i knew once the trumpets were fitted i didn't particularly want to be taking them off as the allen bolts are awkward to get to, and can easily be rounded off. So i turned the key and it started lovely, although i didn't give it any throttle. So i put the trumpets on knowing the car was running fine. Went to start it up again with the trumpets on, and as i turned the key it spluttered and failed to start, so gave it some throttle and it spluttered to life. At this point it was spluttering very lumpy, tried revving it to see if it would come to life, but not alot of luck.

So i got my camera out and made a quick video:

Any idea's? Would of tried my old 40mm trumpets to see if it would still do it, but was running out of light.

Thanks

Lewis

Does it smell fuelly?

Worth just checking all sensor and vacuum pipes.

If injectors have been taken off check to see if all o rings are seated correctly.

it does inside the car, but not under the bonnet, left them on as i didn't know how to take them off  i'm no expert lol

what do you suggest i do Danny, i'm circa 80 miles from you/TDF so couldn't drive it to you, is there anywhere local to Norwich you could recomend, as i could probably nurse the car a few miles.

Can you not fit filter with the old trumpets then drive and switch to get the map tweaked?

needs balancing a tps calibrating, danny said, so i don't think they'd make a difference now? i've emailed APT in Norwich, i could probably nurse the car over to them, just heard mixed reviews on there work, and was really hoping to get an RS Tuning remap :/

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
Apt will sort that easy. Gary is very good. Does more big power turbos than anything though

Surely it needs a map to get the full gains?
yeah, i thought this was the problem, but obviously not, going to take the car to APT get them to get it running and get them to map it to, if they don't charge to much. Was going to go to RS Tuning, but APT is right on my door step, so might give it a try :)
