Right, I need some expert opinions
I can see (I think) from the invoice below that my car had the Accessory belt and Timing belt changed. This was at Renault only 5K miles ago.
This ticks both the sections in the service manual, 'Accessories Belt and Pulleys' and 'Timing Belt and Pulleys.'
But what is a Dephasor? Is it just another name for one of these belts/pulleys? Has my Dephasor therefore been changed, or is it something completely separate? And therefore needs doing.
The reason I ask is because I have a slight tapping/vibrating noise from the engine. I got my mechanic to look over it but he thinks it's all fine, however not being a Renault specialist I thought I would try and get a second opinion just in case.
I'm hoping that if my Dephasor was changed at Renault, I will be able to go back to them and get them to look at it FOC, assuming they didn't do the job properly. Hopefully they will honour it seeing as it was only done 5k miles ago.
Something which should last 36k miles surely cant need doing again in 5k miles.View attachment 72971View attachment 72972Hopefully the pictures work well enough to read.
Thanks for any help/opinions.
