Car  Vw Golf
Out for the first time since Aug 2011.

The turbo was driven and is now getting taxed & insured for the summer.

Tomorrow is going to be a day of giving it a small clean and topping up any fluids and checking over it
 
awesome. takes me back. my mates got one of the last on a H reg. can only appreciate in value.

Cause i have had it for about 3/4 years and everytime i have went to sell it or break it i cant bring myself to do it so i keep it in storage.
 
thats gorgeous mate,nice to see one with the spotlights on for a change too.
love the wheels but itd look even nicer on the original alloys.
always loved these,always wanted a mercury grey or white one.

Just a strange car to keep in storage. No offence of course.
 
Not really when there was only 500 ST's made and alot of them are now rust buckets.
I have a pile load of extra goodies on mine that are like rocking horse poo to get.

I have the space to keep it so it stays in the garage.

My Trophy will be going in there also and i will just use the golf and my partner has a mondeo.

As for the Turbo's wheels i still have the Standard ones sitting there but tyres are not road legal so i would need to buy 4 tyres just to put the standard wheels on
 
God I want that car SO MUCH !! perfect s2 mate perfect wheel choice :)

davo the car is going no where. Its making me more money the less i drive it and the more its off the road.

Its going away again in Arpril for another mini detail / refresh

Can't blame you mate selling my RS Years ago was worst mistake I ever made :( ones worth buying then were hard to find near enough impossible now ! You doin any RS shows in it this year ?
 
worst thing i did was sell up my immaculate signal green mk2 rs mexico.
that car would be worth a fair bit now i bet.
 
that is mint am i right in saying that rosso or radient red its the same as the one my dad bought 26 years ago brand new e reg when there used to be a rs dealership in middlesborough called neshams. sad ending though it was stolen i remember being gutted.

Im sure its raient red but i would need to look out the V5 to be 100% sure
 
that is lovely, not a fan of the wheels though. standerd ones suit so much better.

Not really my thing, but Christ that's immaculate! I think having smaller, or perhaps just the standard wheels would look a bit better...

Still, that's a proper time-warp car! Nice one
 
As said I have the original wheels but they need new tyres and I think the 17s fill the arches out and just make the car stand out.
The only thing I hate about it is that there is no power steering or ABS ha ha ha
 
Dave if it has ABS it does not work as braking is bad but then again im used to a 55 Plate trophy and a 61 plate van

Why bother keeping an old escort? Its only an escort.

The car is now MOT'd and Insured, Just need to take it at some point.

There is a Vectra topic up for you with only a small amount of pictures showing the work thats been done and how it looks
As i have over 700 pictures tried to sum it up rather quickly in just a few
 
Actually made a full on mess in my pants!!! That is a credit to the RS badge mate. Stunning example.

Oh, and ABS will be belts round the inner CV joints near the gearbox. Its an AWFUL system. Most have been ripped off now.
