prima exhaust mounts

I seem to have a problem with centre more often than rear. Any hints/tips/replacements any members use for the centre mounts?

Thanks

These mounts are too stiff! They caused my exhaust to split in the centre section

Different kinds of feedback then surrounding these! I Need to figure something out to make sure the standard mounts last longer or do a home made job of some sort!

Had the prima rear mounts on my 172 and now my trophy without a problem. Renault brought out a new centre mount which is a tougher rubber and lasts a lot longer.

Search function will come in handy, especially if you search for a thread I may have started ;)

I formed a jubilee clip loosely around my old centre mount and cable tied it in place. It still had room to move but could only go so far.

Unlike this one which died after 1 track day.

Well it killed my brand new scorpion cat back after 10 months. So no it's not doubtful. Exhaust need to have a little movement

Not doubting it cracked, just that it was the mounts fault. I've welded up dozens of scorpion exhausts on loads of cars. They don't crack as much as Miltek, but not far off

I would of thought a socket bodged mount would be stiffer than a prima and they don't break exhausts. Fault with the scorpion imo.

I made my own exhaust mounts :) work a treat for me

Slightly off topic , but i have a stealth system(stainless steel) with a prima mount and something has come loose in the back box. It rattles like crazy does anybody know of a fabricator in the north west who could repair it?

Lathom Fabrications in Burscough do exhausts/welding. And Pipewerx are round the corner (but a lot more expensive!)

Oh, and the socket set fix on the rear mount cracked my scorpion too - but it was REALLY tight. Is it just that scorpion are a bit weak? Thought they were supposed to be quite good?
