Hi everyone , Just signed up today, Brought a phase 2 172 back in feb love the car but , it's due a cambelt change, the cheapest quote i've had has been £800 notes with a fair few places saying that they wont touch it, so does anyone here live in or around north london/south herts area who has had theres done and how much did it set you back.

I take mine down to Surrey to Stone Automotive normally or up to Bedford to 519 Automotive.

No not the dealer fella. Rentech in Portsmouth are ace. I took my previous 172 there when I lived in harrow. Was about 500 quid with other bits and bobs done back in 2007.

Ahh i see cheers brisa , Just had alook at that 519 Automotive near bedford they have there prices online which is handy, £450 for a cambelt change on a clio 172 thats more like it i guess. not sure if that includes VAT mind.
