AST top mounts/PMS kit & Eibach camber bolts

Wondering which would be the better set up for road & track work

Either:
PMS top mount kit & strut brace as this is a highly praised set up with a strut brace that works with the Clio
and
Eibach camber bolts for setting up a bit of negative (thought -1.5 for road & track?)

OR

AST top mounts without a strut brace, set up to maximum castor
and
Eibach camber bolts to same set up as above

So to summarise:
Set up 1:
PMS kit with camber
or
AST kit with castor & camber

Which way would you go?

Cheers for any help, Jon

Option 1. PMS top mounts are a better design under technical aspects imo. Plus it's almost the same setup found on the cup racers.

Option 1 are the better product and will be more reliable in my opinion but the caster provided with the AST's will probably be of more use to you than the strut brace.

Just as you've pointed out, they both have good points! Would you say castor has a positive effect to the extent it would be worth sacking off the strut brace for?

P.s sorry for all the questions, you look like you might know 'because race car' :)

Ive got loads of caster, along with pure top mounts and strut brace.

Just add the caster at the bottom isntead.

Haha lol doesn't mean I know anything :rasp:

I would choose caster over the strut brace yes but you could do what I am going to do in winter and get caster along with keeping the PMS kit! Have a look for a thread that Chip has done in the last week 'got caster yo' or something like that. It's a very good way to get plenty more caster and then I would get the PMS kit if I were you :)

EDIT: ^^^^ The man himself ;)

Chip, did you modify the arms in the end or just bolt in a different variant?

Haha probably more of an idea than me :p although I am trying!

I did notice his thread a few days ago. Will have to have a proper read through as I got quite confused with all the different methods people were coming up with. Think I read he had horrific rubbing issues with that set up so would also be an issue.... Time to get reading :)

Thanks for the input guys, greatly appreciated !
