Can't get dash off - help!

So, I followed the guide on here without any problems right up until the "pull towards you" bit. I am pulling towards me with all my strength and the dash isn't moving. It seems to be stuck on the passenger side around the air bag. Are there any clips or anything around there I need to unclip etc? Starting to piss me off now

You've probably caught the clips on the airbag metal and bent the bracket, I did it on my 1.2 It took me ages to get it off.

Had to get someone to lift the passenger side dash up and use a thin metal bar to tap the air bag bracket back.

You don't need to remove them to get the dash off.

Makes it a hell of a lot easier imho.

Yep I had removed the A Pillar trims. It turned out to be exactly what you said guysy. I got a hammer and a socket extension bar, got my dad to lift the dash up as much as he cold, put the bar on each metal clips and hit the end of the bar till they bent back. Then it was just like the guide - a firm sharp pull towards you, and it was off Cheers
