Raspy exhaust

Hi all. The clio is going in to get a decat fitted tomorrow.
Im just wondering about this as ive got no idea whatsoever...

I want to get a 'rasp' from the exhaust, its currently s/s from the cat back with the centre section removed, after the cat it will only be the rear box left.

What would it be like with the rear box removed aswell, or is this even possible?

I can only imagine it would sound horrendous with no boxes or silencers.

If you only have the backbox with a decat, it will be very raspy.. this is what I have on my track car.

My yoz stealth is mega raspy at high revs with its decat, really changed the sound of it

Ok ill keep the box haha. Its a loglife back box thats on it. Straight through from the cat. It was all on it when i bought it!.

Ill get a video after the decat tomorrow

Just remove the whole exhaust and manifold and have the gasses come directly out of the head? Chicks will luv it

First Cup I had, had an Ashley mild steel cat back and it sounded superb. One of the raspiest exhausts I've heard on a Clio.

My Yozza S/S sounds a LOT more raspy with a decat in, so I should think that'd do it on its own

Love the sound you get from the 106's etc and i want the same for the clio haha.

If you want a loud exhaust that sounds good on full chat I would consider a swap

Mine does sound good imo. Its just not very raspy.

my blueflame exhaust sound quite raspy and I still have the cat in place.

Mines very raspy. Especially at around 5k onwards.

Can't even imagine how loud it would be with the cat removed.

Mine gives a little rasp when the cars cold and it burbles a bit but when the car warms up then its just the normal exhaust noise.

Its already pretty loud seeing as the rear is stripped but ive got some foam and a false floor now so it wont be toooooo bad

Got it done yesterday, safe to say the car us loud enough with just the decat. Happy i left the back box

Still need to get a video, got a quick photo just now.

It sounds alot deeper and theres a but of a rasp off it. Not as much as i wanted but im very happy with the sound now!

why does that decat pipe look bendy as f**k?!

Im not too sure tbh.. thought that myself.

It seems to bend out to where the lambda holes are.
