Sounds pretty terrible, how are they altering the pitch of the exhaust though?! I can only imagine by putting different amounts of load on the engine by slipping the clutch to different degrees?

By revving it lol, the exhaust note changes on all cars with revs with exception of rotary engines which just get louder... Plus bozo use long thin exhausts to make that rasp.
