The Ford Appreciation Thread

I must say, I really don't see what the appeal is with FRP's. They look so girly, imo.

The RS1700T is a real rarity. Only ever seen one 'proper' one in the flesh and that was about 20+ yrs ago in a showroom in Skegness. I'm pretty sure its the car Malcolm Wilson has in his private collection now.

The local mechanic I use has one of these in for a full respray,
rare as hell Ford Consul Capri Coupe, they only made them from 61-64.

Good thread, it's funny, as much as petrol heads in general either love or hate Fords, there is always a model they seem to adore..

Green please.

Marc you lazy bugger! Paying people to detail your cars! Tut tut!

thats about right, iirc it was the premium paint and back in '86 was around a £800 option, or thereabouts

my second of three Escorts I've owned, this being the longest ownership of them all being aprox 7 years :)

Other than all of the above, I've owned a gloss black Escos, which was actually my first ever ford.
8 months later I bought a black 3dr to sit next to it in the garage :)
and after breaking the green Escos pictured above, I did eventually buy another delete aero example with 490bhp, straight cut gearing etc etc.

Ford RS's, got to love them :D

I can appreciate the condition of some of these cars, but nothing with a blue oval on the front excites me i'm afraid.
