New 'standard' top mounts.

I was recommended by Diamond to get KYB (I think, I sort of forgot) top mounts instead of Renault ones, but there are a few types of these for sale on Ebay that all say they fit 172s/182s. The ones below are the cheapest, but there are others that look identical, yet more expensive. Basically I'm asking if they do actually fit and are they decent? I don't want solid top mounts though before anyone says :rasp:

Woops, I should learn to read better. But that title is pretty misleading.

About £19 each for the genuine renault ones IIRC, id trust the Renault ones, not sure about these though ??????????????????...............

How do I get hold of Renault ones? Ring a dealer?

Genuine parts definitely aren't £19, KYB, Febi Bilstein, TRW are all good patent parts if you go that route.

I think I'll go KYB then! Can they be fitted with the car sitting on its wheels? I'm not sure if what I will be taking off releases the shock absorber from the body.

Shocker off job for top mounts, if to know where they were fitted you would realise why.

Thanks I just asked a friend and he told me why the shock needs to come off.
