Open pit lane-Knockhill- 1st September

Good day again, I must have racked up about 150 too, warped disks, bad suspension knock and cracked windscreen to sort out now :dapprove: That 205's rear mirror must have been broken, hope I didn't get in too many folks way driving like a loon. That's rubbish what happened to Dan, a paper part of your license is surely worth more than the card, especially with all the other documents he brought.

Last of the late brakers!!!

We managed 75 miles between the two of us driving. Not bad for our first time!

Really want to take the plunge and take the trophy on but I've never done a trackday before so I'd be s**t!

Just do it! I thought the same as you before, tried my first one today and i enjoyed it! Will definitely book up again sometime

You must have a sore face from the smile you had today haha.

Haha, i did enjoy myself like!

If you're nervous, book yourself onto a TrackScotland day. The driving etiquette is far superior on they days.

Last of the late brakers!!!

Haha In the morning aye untill my disks turned to a prawn cracker shape.

Trackscotland, SIDC or any private booked or club track day would be good for a beginer, your worries soon go when you start lapping.

Guys today was cracking. Thanks to Morgan who let me annoy him in his cup. Gaz car looked brilliant. Bob well done, you kept smiling like a child in a sweet shop.
Crap for Dan, but he was still upbeat.

Thanks chaps.

Yeah, after your first couple of sessions you'll wonder what all the worry/fuss was about.

Cheers for the passenger runs yesterday guys, managed to make the best out of a bad situation. Was fuming that they wouldn't let me on, but what can you do!

Booked myself on for Thursday this morning, the 5 WILL make it to the track at some point lol.

Couldn't see it, I'm going to get a high res disk off him instead of nabbing his photo's all the time.

was there most off the day on sunday, had a quick look round most of the clio's when parked up also, had a little mishap on the way home and bought a 172cup so as off next year there will be another newbie joining you guys on the track, its gonna be a first for me but cant wait to stuck in, i've had a good look around the site but, where do you guys go to get the belts done on your clio's? i know there's some good tuners around but most of them are to far away tbh, cheers Nick

Where you from?

Knockhill is like a clio playground now. SWR is the closest specialist which is in Falkirk or Stirling, any mechanic with some experience should manage it, I have the tools if you would like to tackle it yourself.

im from mintlaw, my dads mate is a good mechanic so will see him if hes got the tools, if not i could hire them from you or something, dont know when funds will allow it to happen though..hopefully soon, its taxed till november so would like to have it done so i could take it out before the winter if possible

think i had a look at your car at the weekend, does it have four pots (willwood) i think they were?

Yeah you could rent the tools if you want, I'm the other side of town from you in Newtonhill but no big problem.

Mine is the one with full interior (with buckets) and megane 225 Brembo 4 pots.

Yeah cheers, i'll look into it when i get home at the end of month for prices etc, its a fair toy you've got there, looks nice inside also, i did mention to my mate that it was a nice track car with the tidy steering wheel/seats etc, is it caged? infact you drove past us at the end off the long straight in done a half handbraker in the carpark if i remember correctly :race:

Well just let me know if they're any use.

Yeah its a pretty good track car for the little money spent on the setup, I try to keep it good mechanically. Nope no cage, should really have one in the way I drive it, I'm hoping that's the last track day of this season for me in this car (if I can resist)

Possibly :o the temptation is too high on that loose surface, I was buzzing about trying to stay out the wind most of the day.
